BYOK — Bring Your Own Key — means you connect Syncflow to your existing AI provider account. You paste your API key in settings, choose a model, and Syncflow uses it for decomposition.

Provider choice: Use Groq for speed, Claude for nuanced planning, ChatGPT for familiarity, or Grok for X integration. 3. No lock-in: If you want to switch from Claude to Groq tomorrow, it's one settings change. Your tasks, crumbs, and history stay the same.

Groq: free and fast enough for most tasks

Here's something most people don't know: Groq offers a free tier that's more than enough for personal productivity use. Their Llama-based models run on custom LPU hardware and return responses in under a second.

For task decomposition, speed matters more than eloquence. You don't need GPT-4-level prose to break "Plan a product launch" into 8 actionable steps. Groq handles this perfectly — and it costs you nothing.

This is why Syncflow's Basic plan is just €0.99/month. We're not subsidizing AI costs because you bring your own. The subscription covers infrastructure, email delivery, API access, and product development.

When to use Claude or ChatGPT

For complex, ambiguous goals — "Design a microservices migration strategy for our monolith" — more capable models shine. Claude excels at understanding context and producing well-structured plans with nuanced dependencies. ChatGPT is great when you want more creative suggestions and research tips.
