Refine & Edit

After AI decomposition, you land on the refinement screen. This is where your judgment turns a good AI plan into a great personal plan.

The refinement step is what makes Syncflow more than "ask AI for a plan." Your edits create a plan that is actually tailored to how you work.

Edit any crumb inline

Click the pencil icon on any crumb to edit it. You can change:

Title -- rename it to match your terminology
Description -- add your own notes or clarify the approach
Time estimate -- adjust based on your experience (you know your pace better than the AI)

Changes save automatically when you click away or press Enter.

Reorder crumbs

Use the up/down arrow buttons on each crumb to change the sequence. Common reordering strategies:

Move prerequisites earlier so dependencies are met
Put easy wins first to build momentum
Group related crumbs together
Move risky or uncertain crumbs to the front to fail fast

Delete crumbs

Click the trash icon to remove crumbs that are redundant, out of scope, or unnecessary for your situation. Deletion is instant -- the remaining crumbs reorder automatically.

Add your own crumbs

Click "Add a crumb" at the bottom of the list to insert a manual step. Set a title and time estimate. This is useful for:

Steps the AI missed (like deployment or documentation)
Personal reminders (like "ask Sarah for API credentials")
Review or testing checkpoints

Click "Start Flow"

When you are satisfied with the plan, click the Start Flow button. This saves the final crumb order and transitions the task into Focus Flow mode, where you execute one crumb at a time.

Tip: Spend a minute or two on refinement. Reordering and editing crumbs now saves time during execution. You will not have to context-switch to figure out what the AI meant.

Can I come back and edit later?

Yes. If you leave the refinement screen before starting the flow, your crumbs are saved. You can return to the task page and continue editing. Once you start the flow, the crumb list is locked into execution mode, but you can still skip crumbs you do not want to do.
